Opening Roof and Insulated Patio | Upper Kedron, QLD

It is no secret that our design and construction teams enjoy a challenge and this combination roof patio is no exception.

Our lovely customers in Upper Kedron wanted plenty of protection from the elements. They also wanted to make sure their dream outdoor space was flexible enough to enjoy the warmth of the winter sun. Most design teams would have recommended either a louvred or insulated patio, not our Brisbane team, their patio design included both insulated and louvered roofing styles!

For those with an eagle eye, you may have noticed the strategic placement of the roofing panels. The insulated patio section was positioned over the existing outdoor area to provide year-round comfort. The opening/adjustable patio section was positioned above the floor-to-ceiling windows of the home. This allows our customers to maximise the natural light indoors. When required, our customers can close the roof to protect them from unfavourable weather outdoors.

Our design team went further to ensure a seamless transition between roofing, with the insulated patio panels being integrated within the roof frame. Internal guttering and a hidden support beam add further to the minimalist design.

The Surfmist ceilings pair beautifully with the monument grey frame and posts. Integrated LED downlights keep the electricity consumption in check during overcast days and evenings spent outdoors.
